LET's

TALK

Hi, I'm aastha!

The goals

I'm currently in 12th grade, studying in Chicago, IL, USA. I have created this resource as a part of my capstone course in which I am trying to find a way to reduce sexual stigma in India. After researching the causes and effects of the stigma that surrounds sex-related issues, I found that many of the issues stemmed in a cultural and societal norm to avoid discussion about these topics, seeing them as "taboo" or "inappropriate," even though many of them are normal human functions! So, with this website, I am hoping to provide a place that will offer researched information to fuel knowledgable discussion, and a safe space to share and learn about these topics. Happy exploring!

The main goals of this resource is to normalize conversation of sex-related topics ranging from puberty and menstruation to cultural influences on sex. Each section of information has resources linked that you may use to further your own research, and a set of discussion questions to ask yourself, your friends, or your family! Visit the forum and share your own experiences with sexual health -- we can all connect and learn from each other! This is a safe space for learning and accepting our bodies and health to the fullest. Education on these topics is extremely important to improve sexual and reproductive health for millions of people across the country who have lacked these resources. So, be open, be proud, and let's dig into sexual health!
